TarbiyahBooks+ launched in 2012 (2022 is our 10th year operating!) as a one-stop shop for Islamic books and products from The Noble Quran & Hadith to books on contemporary Islamic issues, to the latest children’s books and toys.

Initially we started off with only two boxes of Children’s Islamic Books . We have since, Alhamdulilah turned into a full blown bookshop catering for all strata of society and faith, that has sold and donated thousands! 

We are committed to specialised orders where we try to source any book a customer orders!

Tarbiyah started as a modest intervention of our late founder, Halita Aliyu (may Allah have mercy on her) who loved books and wanted to address the dying culture of reading amongst the youthand challenges faced by many parents in the upbringing of their children.

She was spurred on by her first grandson’s love of reading. She noticed his books had to be bought from abroad or you had to travel elsewhere in Nigeria to find age appropriate books. So initially we started as a Children’s Islamic store, then grew our catalogue and shelves to include books on family values, business management and well, the rest is history!
